Another item from Country Artifacts, Great Northern Liquidation, Springfield, Vermont. Vintage Rexair Rainbow Model D Canister Vacuum with Attachments in Original BoxesThe motor unit works fine. It powers on and runs well when the switch is toggled. The outer jacket of the power cord is broken at the strain relief going into the unit as shown, and given how twisted the wires are, I would have that fixed fairly soon, or be gentle with it if you plan to use it as it is (it is working fine at this time). You may be able to apply electrical tape and limp by for a while.One latch catch on the water basin is broken off, and the other is chipped as shown. The broken off piece is included, so perhaps you could glue it back on. I saw that replacement basins are available on eBay.The rolling base is in good condition. I oiled the casters so that they will work well.The green hose has a worn rubber boot on the motor unit connection end as shown, but still seems to be working OK. On the other end of the hose, the plastic ring around the silver wand part is aged but if it’s just a grip, it’s still working fine in that way. The hose is still flexible and I found no damage to it aside from the boot noted above.The straight wand has some masking tape around the vent slots in one end, I guessing because a cover is missing (you be the judge of that).
